Barber School in Florida
Benefits and flexibility are the two main components of any career people keep an eye out for when they intend to attend the barber school in Florida. Our trade program is a good option for students who want to get on the fast track to preparing for a new career within just a few months.
Students who enter the program will learn how to handle a primarily male customer base along with how to cut and style hair. Barbers may also work with hairpieces or offer shaving services to their clientele. Students will also learn about how to properly color and cut hair along with the tools and different techniques involved to accomplish these styles.
While there are many benefits to being a barber, setting a good foundation for the course of a career is the first step. We teach our students basic styles since they’ll usually be the most requested by their clients.
While buzz cut is the general term for this hair style, it does serve to express the client’s request. The short, buzzed haircut is often referred to as a military cut due to its style and frequency. There are different buzz cuts available, but the main distinguishing feature between them is the guard attached to the clippers used or the blade for making the haircut.
Buzz cuts also don’t mean the hair is clipped down right next the scalp, but instead has several variations. People in the past have asked for super buzz cut where the hair is cut close to the scalp to longer ones that leaves a longer length behind. Identifying the regular lengths clients will request is easier by identifying the blade number instead of the encompassing generic term.
One of the other popular and fairly common haircuts male clients will often request. The crew cut is basic in its design, but has a character to it compared to other hairstyles. The crew cut is down using a clipper taper on the back and sides of the head. The top of the hair is usually tapered, clipped, or left a tad longer in the back.
The crew cut can go either way from being business casual to an everyday style the client chooses. Just like the buzz cut, being able to identify the length by the clippers used instead of the generic term is often recommended. This helps to eliminate confusion if a customer wants a variation on the classic style.
High and Tight
Another basic hairstyle taught at our barber school Florida will probably be requested quite frequently by male clients. The high and tight is a variation of another hairstyle called the fade cut due to their similarities.
The cut is done by keeping the back and sides as short as possible, but once again depends on how comfortable the client is with the style. This also involves fading the hair shorter, especially around sideburns and the nape of the neck. The top of the hair usually kept at least an inch and a half longer than the blunt edges of the style.
The high and tight is quite popular not only because of its appearance, but due to the maintenance. This cut requires very little in the way of styling and maintaining, so barbers will usually perform this haircut frequently for their clients.
Choosing to become a barber in today’s age offers benefits and advantages that can be hard to find in other careers. The flexibility and ability to set your own hours by working from home is convenient. Barbers even take their certification with them and enjoy traveling once they’ve proved they’re a skilled worker. The most experienced barbers in this career field have even receiving working visas so they can go to other countries more easily.
